As an artist, I’ve always been a colour junkie. When I look at a grey sky, it’s never flat, it’s filled with complex subtleties of colour and light. It’s impossible for me to resist putting a myriad of colours into my paintings; even the most simple scenes have wild flashes of colour interwoven. The language of colour is everywhere, if you look for it – it’s our chemical essence, our DNA, and it’s right there in every sunrise and sunset.
